About Hemet Hospice
Hemet Hospice Volunteers, Inc., is a locally based, non-profit charitable organization. As an independent hospice support agency, we have been able to be true to our founding mission and have supported thousands of families as they faced the end-of-life with bravery and compassion.
While our primary mission is to provide bereavement support groups for children and adults, we have broadened our mission, and are working to bring the first dedicated hospice home, the Arbor Hospice Home, to the Southwestern Riverside County.
Both our Youth Bereavement Program and our Adult Bereavement Support Groups are free to anyone in our community who has suffered a loss.
We are especially proud of our Youth Bereavement Program, as there is no other like it in our region. In partnership with our local school districts, we bring staff and volunteers to the school campus to conduct our youth bereavement support groups. We end the school year with our Happy Heart Kid’s Camp. This weekend camp allows children who have suffered a loss to be among their peers and learn that they are not alone in their grief journey.
The Arbor Hospice House will be the first dedicated hospice home in Southwestern Riverside County. The home and property were donated to Hemet Hospice by a generous grant made through The Bank of Hemet. The Arbor Hospice House will have 6 private patient rooms, a quiet contemplation room, and several quiet, tree sheltered gardens.
Our community has been generous to us for 30 years, and it is our pledge that we will continue to serve our community and those who have entrusted their donations to us.
